Description
A set of 86 strategy game resource icons inspired by games such as Europa Universalis, Colonization and Civilization.
Hand-painted, detailed, perfect for any strategy game, board game or card game set in the 16th-18th century (with a touch of fantasy!).
Free tier:
- 128px icons as individual .png's
- 128px sprite sheets.
This set is older, where I wasn't paying attention to consistency. It's generally messy. But will serve you just fine prototyping or learning :)

If you want to say 'thank you!' or really need that extra polish. 72 reworked icons - they all have the same perspective, better colors, more uniform sizes and generally more consistent across the board. They are also cleaner, checked for stray pixels and artefacts.

- Designed to clearly stand out on both light and dark backgrounds.
License tl;dr:
- Don't repackage and resell. Don't put in bundles of other assets, free or paid.

I do not want to be greedy :) But would it be possible to add a sad starwing donkey to the graphics set? My use-case is that I am working on a card game where I give to players prosperity and misfortune cards. I have put fat cow on prosperity and I need something to put on misfortune card. I can possibly to rework somehow horseshoe to be broken and represent misfortune, but sad starwing donkey may look better :)
OK, so here's the thing: I really can't bring myself to draw animals in pain, distress or neglected.
This is a fun lighthearted project and homage to games I loved growing up and still come back to =) I want to keep it that way.
However! I will add a donkey because I love this kind of positive feedback. Stay tuned.
Also the broken horseshoe idea is brilliant. Actually maybe I'll add a few other "misfortune" themed icons like in HoMM3.

Thx, misfortune/status themed icons from HoMM3 sounds great! Like hourglass and 4 leaf clover. I would definitely make good use of those ;)
